Visitors that meet the waived-fee criteria are eligible for student visitor permits paid by our All University Expense account. The following waived-fee permits are available:

  • Employee (First Day/Last Day): This permit is for an employee's first day or last day working on campus.
  • Unpaid Guest Speaker: Visitors invited by faculty to speak in a class and not paid for their time.
  • Unpaid Volunteer: Persons volunteering their time without compensation. Volunteers working on campus more than 3 consecutive days must apply for a volunteer semester parking permit

Waived-fee parking permits also have the following requirements:

  • The request must be for a maximum of 3 days. Anyone on campus more than 3 consecutive days is not considered a "visitor" and must use standard permit options.
  • The visitor is not an enrolled Sac State student.
  • The visitor is not a Sac State faculty or staff (active or retired).
  • The visitor is not compensated in any way for their time on campus.
  • The visitor is not a contractor, consultant, or vendor.
  • The visitor is not a student or teacher attending a class, training, workshop, conference, or camp.

Anyone not meeting all the criteria above must pay parking fees. UTAPS may require official documentation proving the above criteria are met.

Special Permits

If your department has special permits available, they will be listed at the bottom of the permit selection drop-down.

Info

Waived-fee permits are student parking only. If your visitor needs employee parking, you must select one of the paid standard permit options.

Instructions

    1. If your permit is valid for more than 1 day, set this to the last day your visitor needs to park! This is so they can still activate their permit if they arrive a day late.
