If you have been approved by Human Resources to work on campus as a volunteer and meet the following criteria, you may qualify to receive a semester

employee permit at no cost:
- You are not an enrolled Sac State student.
- You are not Sac State faculty or staff.
- You are not compensated in any way for your time on campus (e.g. You are employed by any company paying you for any time on campus).
- You are a not contractor, consultant, or vendor.
- You are not attending a class, training, workshop, conference, or camp.
UTAPS may require official documentation proving the above criteria are met.
If you do not meet the criteria, you do not qualify for a waived-fee permit and must purchase a permit.
If you receive and use a volunteer permit without meeting the criteria, you will be issued an invoice from campus financial services for the current semester parking permit rate. Unpaid invoices will result in state collection activities.
